Cheryl Blake is the founder of The Blake Touch and creator of The Chameleon Principle™. Once a chameleon who blended in to survive, she now helps women shed old skins, rise into their true colors, and embrace this truth: we are all Still Becoming.

💫 The Story of Becoming

From seasonal styling to soulful transformation — this isn’t just the story behind a brand.

✨ It’s the story of becoming.

For most of my life, I lived as a chameleon — shifting, adapting, camouflaging to survive. What began with styling spaces and creating beauty on the outside eventually revealed a deeper calling: helping women transform on the inside.

The Blake Touch started as a lifestyle brand, but it has evolved into something much more personal — my own journey of resilience, reinvention, and growth. And now, through The Chameleon Principle, I share what I’ve learned: you don’t have to stay hidden.

Butterflies have always been my symbol of transformation. They remind us that even after years of blending in, we are meant to shed old skins, rise into our true colors, and fly free.

💫 My message is simple: you are Still Becoming. It’s never too late to rise.

🦋 My Story

I’m Cheryl — and The Blake Touch is more than a brand.

It’s my personal journey, lived out loud.

From Styling to Soul Work

What started as a love for seasonal decorating and lifestyle styling grew into something deeper—a desire to help others transform not just their spaces, but their lives.

I began my career in banking, then moved into finance and accounting across industries like automotive, manufacturing, and education. For the past decade, I’ve run my own bookkeeping business, supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses.

By 2021, I had re-immersed myself in personal development, deepening my understanding of mindset and manifestation. I completed Bob Proctor’s Thinking Into Results and graduated from Kathleen Cameron’s Diamond Academy. I had a website, a mission, and I was ready to launch a mentorship program—rooted in clarity, confidence, and the belief that we shape our lives from the inside out.

What I didn’t realize then was how much that inner work was preparing me—not just for business, but for life itself. It became the foundation that carried me through the darkest chapter of my life.

The Turning Point

After the sudden loss of my son, life came to a standstill. I wasn’t moving. I wasn’t nourishing myself. The weight of my grief became visible in my body. I was out of breath just walking upstairs. My clothes didn’t fit, and I didn’t recognize the woman staring back at me—inside or out.

But deep down, I knew this much: if he were still here, he’d never want me to live this way. I wanted his passing to mean something—to honor him through how I lived.

The truth is, these were changes I should have made while he was still with me. And now, I know he still is—with me, guiding me every step of the way.

It was time to take action. It was time to reclaim myself.

Becoming, Inside and Out

That’s when I discovered Joan MacDonald—a woman who began her fitness journey in her 70s and completely transformed her life. Something about her story cracked me wide open. It reminded me that it’s never too late to begin again, and that strength—real strength—starts on the inside.

Her journey gave me hope. And for the first time in a long time, I felt a spark.

I started small. A walk. A glass of water. A workout from Joan’s app. A promise to myself to keep going, even if it wasn’t perfect. Slowly, the fog began to lift. I moved more. I ate to nourish, not numb. I leaned back into the mindset work that had once lit me up—and this time, I used it to rebuild me.

Day after day, I pressed play. I showed up. Seven days a week, I did the workouts—no excuses. I knew that if I wanted different results, I had to do things differently. So I trusted the process. I believed—deep down—that change was coming.

And something else began to rise with me: the book I had started writing in 2021—the one I set aside when everything fell apart—was still there, waiting. As I found strength in my body, I also began reclaiming my voice. Piece by piece, word by word, I returned to the page.

What The Blake Touch Means Today

Today, The Blake Touch reflects my evolution.

It’s not just a brand. It’s a reminder that it’s never too late to transform—whether that’s your body, your mindset, your home, or your entire life.

It’s about shedding the skins that no longer fit.
It’s about showing your true colors.
It’s about becoming, again and again.

And that’s why I wrote The Chameleon Effect—to share not only my story, but also the lessons and practices that helped me rise. My hope is simple: that it inspires you to stop hiding, reclaim your truth, and keep becoming.

The Invitation

If you’ve ever felt invisible, overlooked, or “too late” to change, I want you to know this: you are not finished.

You are still becoming. And you don’t have to do it alone.

🌱 My Transformation Story

I didn’t just lose 45 lbs — I found clarity, calm, and the courage to choose myself again.

After a life-changing loss, I paused everything. What began as healing became a full-body transformation: strength training, mindset work, and daily habits that helped me reclaim my health—inside and out.

At 60+, I’m still becoming. This is my season of becoming stronger, softer, and more grounded in who I am.

I’m not coaching right now — I’m walking this path for myself, and sharing it in real time.
I’m not here to sell anything — only to show what’s possible.

Whether you’re building a stronger body, creating a calmer mind, or finding your way back to yourself, you belong here.

Let’s see what’s possible … together.

💫 Where I Am Now

Today, I’m in the midst of my own continued evolution.

I’ve intentionally paused my coaching business to focus fully on completing my physical transformation and pursuing recertification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.

To reach new goals I once thought were out of reach, I’ve hired a 1:1 coach — Julia Shelley — and I’m fully committed to walking the path before guiding others again.

In the meantime, The Blake Touch lives on — in every post, every styled space, and in every woman who dares to begin again.

I continue to share and shape spaces with intention — because transformation isn’t just internal. It shows up in the world we create around us.

🤍 My Mission

As a woman, a mother, and now a proud grandmother, I know how easy it is to lose yourself while caring for everyone else.

My mission is to help women reconnect with themselves — not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually, too.

🌿 Transformation Begins with Intention

✨ How you show up for yourself

✨ What you believe you’re worthy of

✨ The small habits that either hold you back or carry you forward

Because when you choose yourself, you don’t just change your body or your habits — you change your life.

And the truth is: you are Still Becoming.
